Kossuth Square

In 1864, the square was created with the purchase of the garden of the Order of Mercy. On the south side of Kossuth Square you can see the Konzum department store, built in the 1970s and covered with blue and white Zsolnay tiles, which was the first escalator in Pécs. The corner of the building is decorated with a ceramic sculpture of a woman by György Fürtös.
