History
He left the Cistercian grammar school to serve the city, and as a notary he was appointed mayor in 1875. His most important activity was the construction of the National Theatre of Pécs. During his 20 years as mayor, the city developed steadily, and Pécs' public administration rose to the level of modern cities. He was responsible for the construction of the waterworks in Tettye and the water supply network in Pécs.
