The first cross on Mount Havi was erected in 1745. It is said to commemorate a small priest who, in love, threw himself from this place into the abyss and died a horrible death.The legend has no basis in fact. The crucifix you see here was made by Sándor Rétfalvi in 1969. On a T-shaped cross of reinforced concrete, known as the St. Andrew's Cross, hangs the lifeless body, tormented by suffering

How to get there

It can be reached from the main railway station by bus number 33. Get off at Tettye, Havihegyi road.
Parking is available at Tettye Square.
