CATHEDRAL LAPIDARIUM
The modern lapidary is the work of Kossuth prize winning architect Zoltán Bachman. Several stone sculptures of the Árpád Era are exhibited here as well as a unique church decoration. Its characteristic braided decoration is varied with fronds and is known as “Pécs-style” decoration. The skulls and faces of the figures were damaged as a result of acts related to religious rules in the Turkish Age. The exhibition shows a glimmer of the former beauty and wealth of the Cathedral.

EPISCOPAL TREASURY
This house was also the home and workshop of Ferenc Martyn. On the second floor of the prebendary palace we can see an exhibition of various objects from the collection of the Bishop’s Treasury, which displays eighteenth and nineteenth century paintings, graphics, prints, statues, goldsmiths’ works, numismatic relics and furnishings, most of which the public have until now been unable to view.
